Pricing
Different customers get different prices. This is a normal and expected part of freelancing. However in some cases, the same customer can get a different price. This usually confuses the customer, so I thought I would take some time to break down my pricing structure.
First let me say that my prices are subject to change based on situation (i.e. price breaks at 100s of hours and such). This is meant as a simple guideline.
$18.00 per hour for HTML development
- Single page websites
- Affiliate pages
- Static pages on existing sites
$22.00 per hour for ASP/PHP development
- ASP Classic sites
- Joomala modules
- Wordpress theme modifications requiring code changes
$22.00 per hour for Server Maintenance/Management
- Log rotation
- Server backups
- Server side software updates
$25.00 per hour for Ruby on Rails Development
- New websites in Ruby on Rails
- Modifications to existing websites using Ruby on Rails
- Project management of Rails based projects
$40.00 per hour for .NET development
- New websites in ASP.NET
- Modifications to existing websites using ASP.NET
- Project management for ASP.NET applications
- Desktop Apps written in .NET
$50.00 total for Pre-built Systems
- Installs of Wordpress
- Installs of Joomla
- Installs of DotNetNuke
- Installs of PHPNuke
- Installs of complex modules onto prebult systems (when the hourly rate exceeds the $50)
I hope this quick guide can help my current and potential customers understand my pricing model. Please feel free to request a quote or contact me if you have any questions about where your project would fall. As stated above price breaks are available if your project is large enough to require a very large chunk of hours.
